SPECIAL GUEST: "ROXY VANDIVER" INTERVIEW

You may have watched one of her Horror Films, or seen her amazing Modeling work. Here at Blood-Thirsty Pit Whore, we are very excited to have an exclusive interview with the Foxy Muti-Talented, Voted Geektyrants "Geek Babe of the month", "Spirit-Camp" Special Guest Star. I'm talking of course about  the one and only:
ROXY VANDIVER!

"Spirit Camp" (2009) seems to be your most highlighted Film, did you ever believe it would get this big?
When we started the film, I had no idea what we were in for.  After seeing the dailies for the first time, I turned to Director Kerry Beyer and said, "Oh my god.  This is for REAL!"  It was so well shot and studio quality, I couldn't believe my eyes.  I knew we were doing something special, but I didn't imagine it would become such a cult hit and it would be the springboard to all of the wonderful things I've been a part of since.

Your Filmography is rapidly growing, is there any future projects coming up soon?
I have a lot of offers and there are some really cool projects that I hope to be working on soon.  I never count my chickens before they hatch, though.  I learned the hard way that even if a role is tailor written specifically for you and promised to you, it can still be ripped away.  Right now I'm set to star in a slasher flick called The Good Friend, Directed by Marcus Sabom.  I have a major role and it's going to be fun and bloody.

You do your own stunts in movies, have you had any serious injuries while on the set?
Nothing really serious.  But I have gotten a few wicked scrapes and bruises.  While filming Spirit Camp I suffered a mild concussion, a busted lip and some seriously bloody and bruised wrists.  Driving a car in hand-cuffs is not as easy as it looks on TV, kids!

Would you like to be in any films besides Horror?
I've actually done a few non-horror films.  I did the dramas John's Story and Crumble and also Joe Grisaffi's dark comedy Lars the Emo Kid.  I love doing horror, but I'm open to all types of work.  I'd really like to tackle a romantic comedy.

Having a large portfolio of amazing photographs, what was the most memorable photo shoot you have ever done?
I was in New York City shooting with Brian Burk and we were in the 4th & 9th street subway station in Brooklyn.  I was wearing a gorgeous drop-dead-red Fred Pearlberg ballgown.  Definitely turned some heads.  Then we shot under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass.  It was a dream come true.  Another memorable shoot was a lingerie shoot I did on the Metro Rail in Houston, Texas.  It was 5 pm on a Monday and Kerry Beyer and I were sneaking around trying to get shots of me in my skivvies without getting into trouble.  When the Metro workers found us out, they were actually really cool and told us, "Y'all should come back at 2 a.m., we'll let you shoot in the cab!"  It was funny.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I trained for 10 years to be a competitive level gymnast, but a wrist injury ended my Olympic dreams.  I used to be so flexible!  Now I'm all creaky!  I can still bend over backwards and touch the floor though!

I have noticed that you are quite the bookworm, are there any favorite books out there that you can recommend?
Ok, True Blood fans...the show is awesome and all, but I highly recommend you read the books.  Charlaine Harris's Sookie Stackhouse Series.  I read the books before watching the show and while I enjoy the show, everyone who reads the books agrees that they are much better.

What was the First nude Photo Shoot you have ever done, and did you ever expect to be doing so much beautiful work today?
Thank you for saying my work is beautiful ! My first nude shoot was with Kenny Haner of Subsociety Studio.  He was the still photographer on my first film Witchcraft 13:Bood of the Chosen.  He suggested we do a photoshoot.  I was a terrible model!  I didn't know what I was doing at all, but there are actually 2 photos from that shoot that are still fan faves today.  They're really timeless.  I had no idea that this would eventually lead to an actual career as a model!

Who is the most memorable celebrity you have ever met/worked with?
This Spring at Texas Frightmare Weekend I had the pleasure of becoming pals with Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery, the stars of The Boondock Saints.  Those guys were too cool and so much fun!  We played around in the back of a hearse and got drunk together.  Flanery kept snatching my camera and even took a few topless pics of me!  It was a blast.
I know that you have over a dozen Tattoos, and luckily have the ability to make it look good. What was your first Tattoo, and will you get anymore?
I love tattoos and definitely plan to get more.  My first tattoo was horrible!  I wanted the symbol for the band A Perfect Circle on my lower back (Yes, tramp stamp area) but the artist really screwed it up and it looked terrible.  I've spent years adding to it, trying to fix it up, but I wouldn't mind if it disappeared!
