The grey-haired grave robber was caught taking the flower's from 11-year-old Robert Stringer's Essex grave by up a camera set up by his parents after pots and ornaments started going missing.
Robert's family have been left stunned by the discovery.
"We were surprised, everyone expected it to be kids," Robert’s cousin Steve Rose, 37, told the Daily Mirror. "It's an awful, callous crime and none of us can understand how she could do that to a child."
Robert’s aunt Kathleen Harris, 75, said: “I’m devastated because we have cared for this grave for the last 30 years. I’m so angry. I want her to be named and shamed. She’s a horrible woman and evil.
"For her to come along and fill her boots like that is just wicked. What right has she got to steal from that grave?"
Robert was hit by a car and killed in 1980 after he ran onto a road.
His parents, George, who died in 1984, and Joan, who died in 2009, laid flowers at the gravesite every week.
The police have released the photos in hope that someone might identify the woman.
