Mills Movie Madness review
Today's movie is:   TRICK 'r TREAT (2007)

 PLOT:
Four interwoven stories that occur on Halloween.

 BASICS:
Trick ‘r Treat follows four interwoven stories that occur on the same particularly spooky night. Five stories if you want to count the very opening scene. Following the old tale that the rituals of Halloween are done to protect us from the evil of mischievous demonic dead, several people get taught a horribly terrifying lesson when they don’t follow these traditions. Keep in mind that this movie back tracks, a lot. You get through one story just to be dumped back at the beginning to follow another one. Where does it end? Back at the beginning..
Mills Rating: 7/10

If you love Halloween -you will love this movie!! It has everything in it that no other halloween movie has ever had. It has the rules of Halloween, classic horror deaths, pumpkin carving, checking candy, witches, ghouls, ghost stories, werewolves, vampires, costumes, gravediggin' and candy corn. This even has a dark black and orange color to it throughout the whole movie. I was surprised to see Thurman Murman from Bad Santa (Brett Kelly) and loved it how the whole movie seems to have "earlier" to get to the next story, but ends up entwining together at the end. Nothing was left out, no plot holes to the next story. Although I didn't like the story with the chicks and their party, It got a bit over the top at the end of it, but the other stories made up for it. My favorite was the story with the kids in the bus. Classic Halloween spooky story.
I am a Massive fan of Horror Anthology movies, and loved watching this. Its campy fun and if you don't like one story another one comes along. You don't have to sit through 3 hours of garbage deciding to turn it off or not. Definitely watch it on Halloween!, kids will love growing up with this, (as I did with creepshow), and you will NEVER find a movie that plays anymore emphasis on halloween. Not even Halloween (1978) has this much!

If you like this film:
Try watching:
"Creepshow" (1982)
”Body Bags” (1993)
