Random Pics for your pleasure

  1. Regarding the photo of the pregnant woman whose husband is holding her hostage at gunpoint:

This woman is deaf. She was beaten by her parents as a child because they thought she wasn’t listening to them. She was “rescued” by this man who took her in at a young (adult) age and later began abusing her. This is the only maternity photo he ever allowed her to have taken, and she was not given the proper access to lotions and creams that are necessary to meet the standards of the internet viewers who judge her.

The beautiful little girl inside her in this picture later came to her mother 4 years later saying that her daddy hit her in the vagina with a hammer. She drew photos of that “hammer” in therapy. I’ve seen the photocopies of the photo and the counselor’s report myself. The State won’t listen because this man seems to be too influential in his community for the laws to apply to him. He had his son circumcised against his wishes at 4 years old just to spite his ex-wife who couldn’t stop him after the divorce. This was only one of her punishments for leaving him and making him feel like he couldn’t control her anymore.

She was raped and beaten often in this relationship, and during the last time he raped her, he broke her back. She can no longer have children due to the injury sustained, and yet he managed to get custody of both kids. He’s also an “expert witness” in the court system, which somewhat inherently means that he knows a few people with judicial and political sway.

Despite her disabilities, adversities, and attempts to see her kids with any kind of regularity, she has completed a bachelor’s degree and is now finishing a Ph.D. program so that the courts might hopefully respect her enough to let her take care of her kids. She is THE best mother I have ever known, and she is the strongest person I know. And her ex-husband posting this just to haunt her is just one more way he’s tried to control her from afar.

Anyone reposting this photo, particularly to laugh about it or ignore the facts behind it, is simply doing his bidding for him.

  2. Alright, you obviously have seen this photo before, I doubt that this is the first time that you would have seen this and spent so much time writing about it. So I just want to get something clear before write anything else. If a picture does not make sense, you see something that looks normal but then you notice something weird and cannot understand it, it makes it funny. Just like when you are in the dark and you hear a strange noise- it automatically brings in fear, curiosity and your imagination delves into the unknown making you believe something is wrong and you want to turn on a light or get the hell out.

So in this particular photo in question, you see a pregnant woman.. seems pretty normal to me, and then she is with a man who... wait! wtf?? Why has he got a gun, pregnant women and guns don't go together, and why is he pointing it at the photographer?? this makes no sense at all.. it shouldn't be.. its not normal. At this point there is no humor at all at the woman, there is no signs of her being deaf, or that she is being abused by the man. It is completely random and therefore contains selective humor. It might be hilarious to some, and might be normal to others.
It's just like every other joke in the world- break it up and put the truth into it, and suddenly its not funny, that's why stand-up comedians make you laugh and not psychologically drain your spirit.

I have been posting pics online for a long time, I even have a 'content warning', and other disclaimers littered all over the place so that I mean no harm to others and that if you see it-you have agreed to seeing it. At this point freedom of speech comes in- I have the right just as well as everyone else to share pictures and words with the world. If I really wanted to- I could post up really gruesome things- but I'm not that kind of person, I just want to share humor with the world. I don't in anyway intend on sharing something that would ruin someones day- But I obviously unintentionally have with you.

There is no point in trying to make me feel guilty, I want to be honest with you, so I might as well say it -Unfortunately I am a heartless prick, it's the truth. I have suffered abuse my whole life and have come close to death as the result of it..more than once. So nothing gets to me anymore, Hell, I have to collect dead kids up on Christmas day for a living and deal with fucked up family's and splattered brains for the rest of the year, sorry, but you Can't get to me, nobody can.

I could even post up a pic of me, with my first boyfriend, I have one similar to this pic in question. it looks normal but then, wait! wtf?? Why is he holding her like that, It makes no sense but unfortunately wouldn't make a random funny pic. (I have tried it before) There is no weapon, I am not pregnant or beautiful and to the world its another regular scrapbook photo. There are no signs of abuse because you cannot see my cut legs, bruises and other signs of abuse, and there is no back-story of what happened on the day. Why?- Because it is a photo, and even though a photo says a thousand words, unfortunately sometimes it does not explain someones life story, or the matter of a relationship. If it stated that this woman was rapped, beaten and abuse most of her life, then I wouldn't have posted it up in the first place..unless it was for the fight against the abuse of women. Yeah, I'm also one of those people who have donated and still donate hundreds of dollars to that foundation, along with other charities, Even though I have no heart -I believe that some people need a helping hand.

  3. But I am keeping this pic up, and only with the comment you have posted. Why do such a thing?- because anyone who laughs at the photo with no idea of a back-story is not an asshole or is doing any bidding for one, if they had no idea of these events taking place.
YOU CANNOT IGNORE SOMETHING THAT IS UNKNOWN.
So now the world will know about her, and understand her pain. If I was to delete the photo- then I would be depriving my right for freedom of speech, and deleting your comment would be depriving your right. Both shall remain, and by no means I had any intention on posting up an abused woman and NOBODY should feel any guilt on finding a picture (or any other source of media to that fact) funny if they have no idea of someone's life story.
