Must See Movie of the week
If you want to see something that's not highly seen in movie rental stores, and something not to miss out on.
Today's movie is:   Body Bags (1993) TV
PLOT:
Three short stories in the horror genre (anthology) The first “The Gas Station”, a young woman takes a night job working the register at a remote filling station. The second Hair”, Stacey Keach plays a balding man like only a balding man can play. And finally in “The Eye”, Mark Hamill (Star Wars) stars as a promising baseball player that suffers a terrible accident.

 BASICS:
John Carpenter presents "Body Bags", in which it reads true as he plays a coroner late at night fooling around in a morgue, while spitting out macabre jokes and then introducing us to three buoyant little stories. This I have always found hilarious as sometimes the jokes go in the coroners office! – (*Wink-You didn’t hear that from me) This is great for kids, great for halloween and just plain fun for everyone. It really is a shame that this didn't launch a TV series, but hey, at least you can watch the film.
"Doctor: Mark Hamill just isn't the same after star Wars"

They range from horrific, humorous and simply bizarre with a "Tales from the Crypt" spin to them. In this low-budget TV production Carpenter would direct the first two; "The Gas Station" and "Hair", but the third story "The Eye" would be fronted by director Tobe Hopper. Carpenter and Hooper wouldn't be the only recognizable names, as the cast line-up is rather mouth-watering. You got Stacy Keach, David Warner, Mark Hamill, David Naughton, Robert Carradine, Deborah Harry, Twiggy, George Buck Flower, Charles Napier, John Agar, Roger Corman and a minor cameo from Tom Arnold. Also some horror participants have tiny parts; Sam Ramini, Wes Craven, Tobe Hooper and make-up/special effects maestro Gregory Nicotero.
"It's true- Corners can still have fun at work "

This film features many great horror directors that act and/or direct. John Carpenter director of Halloween (1978) plays "The Coroner" and introduces each segment as well as directs two of the stories, "The Gas Station" and "Hair", Tobe Hooper director of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) plays "Morgue Worker # 2" and directs the last segment, "The Eye", Wes Craven director of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) plays "Pasty-Faced Man" at the gas station, and Sam Raimi director of The Evil Dead (1981) plays "Dead Bill".
The segments were initially designed to be Showtime’s answer to HBO’s excellent series, Tales from the Crypt. The idea was axed and the segments spliced together into a delightfully devilish movie.
In "The Gas Station", as Bill is watching TV, the anchorman mentions a body was found in Haddonfield, a reference to John Carpenter's earlier film, Halloween.
What makes Body Bags really work is the "fun" feel it has. This wasn't made to be a moneymaker. Rather, it was made for Carpenter and Hooper to have some fun with filmmaking -  So go and see it
If you Like this, go and see:
Cat's Eye (1985)
The Willies (1991)
Campfire Tales (1997)
